It all began with a simple question: why don't more people explore Connemara's incredible cycling routes?
We've been cycling these bog roads since 2018, discovering hidden gems that most tourists miss. What struck us wasn't just the landscape — it's the quiet, meditative experience of riding through terrain that hasn't changed in generations. But we noticed something troubling. Seniors who wanted to explore felt intimidated by unclear routes, lack of preparation guidance, and uncertainty about what they'd encounter.
That's when we decided to create something different. Not expensive guided tours. Not generic cycling advice. Instead, we focused on sharing what we've learned about the Roundstone to Ballyconneely loop, bog road surfaces, dry stone wall history, and proper gear selection. We wanted to build confidence in riders who thought they couldn't do it.
